Last updated: Friday, 9 December 2022
Our Sports Scholarship Scheme has been supporting students to reach their athletic potential since 2003, with successes coming from Olympic games, national titles and medals at BUCS championships.
Sussexsport provides talented student athletes with comprehensive SportScholarships that provide a network of support and financialassistanceto develop scholars as a sportsperson and student, with the opportunity for mentoring with world-class athletes.
The Scholarship Scheme is supported by Alumni and friends of the University via the Sussex Fund, which is passionate about giving students at Sussex the opportunity to fulfil their academic and athletic potential. We are also grateful for the work and support this year fromDr Michael Passaportis from the School of Psychology, who is a lecturer on Sport and Exercise Psychology.
One of our scholars Louis Saunders commented on the positive impact the scholarship scheme has had on his time at Sussex so far ‘the scholarship scheme has helped me to settle quickly into life at Sussex, with access to training facilities and mentoring advice to support me with my sport and studies.’
We are excited to announce our first co-hort of chosen scholars for the 22/23 academic year and share all the amazing things they achievewith our support over this period and beyond.
