Foodie Events on Campus for One World Week

Come celebrate the diversity of different cultures through the joy of food! Join us during the 麻豆传媒社区入口's One World Week for a variety of different foodie pop-up and events across campus.
Tuesday 12 March: One Rice Battle
This playful pop-up lets you decide the dish! In this battle of four different rices from around the world, there can only be one winner! Head over to to vote on the rice dish that you would most like to eat.Voting closes on 6th March, with the winning dish being served outside from 12pm - 3pm on Tuesday 12 March (£6.40).
The contestants:
- Nigerian Chicken Jollof
- Spanish Chicken & Rabbit Paella
- Indonesian Chicken Nasi Goreng (topped with fried egg)
- Cajun Jambalaya with Chicken, Pork Sausage & Shrimp
Wednesday 13 March: Sri Lankan Dal at The Veg Bowl
Head over to the best veggie cafe in Sussex for a cafe takeover. On Wednesday 13 March, instead of the usual poke rice bowls and noodle soups will be serving up delicious, heart warming bowls of coconut dal (£6.50). Keeping the cafe's flagship build your own style, there will be lots of veggies and sides you can choose to pile it up with!
Thursday 14 March: Sen Noods London Street Food Vendor on Campus
Give a warm welcome to ! Recently ranked as one of the best restaurants in London by food critic and TV personality Andi Oliver, you'll usually find them trading in various street food markets across London, such as National Theatre, The Gherkin and West India Quay to name a few. These guys will be serving up a variety of different noodle dishes from around the Asian continent alongside £5 portions of dumplings. Check out their menu below!
- Pork Dumplings (£5)
- Veg Dumplings (£5)
- Dan Dan Noodles (£10) - minced pork in peanut sauce
- Hong Kong Curry Noodles (£10) - Hong Kong style curry noodles with pan fried chicken thighs and tofu puffs
- Chashu Pork Ramen (£10) - "Tonkotsu" Ramen with BBQ Pork Belly and ramen egg
- Vegan Ramen (£10) - "Tonkotsu" Ramen with teriyaki aubergine (and ramen egg for veggie option)
Friday 15 March: Comforting Irish Classics in Eat Central
For the last day of One World Week, we're bringing things a little closer to home. With St.Patrick's Day just around the corner (Sunday 17 March), Eat Central will be giving their offer an Irish touch. You'll find a comforting Guinness braised shin of beef, served with Bubble & Squeak (£6.95) or a special Guinness battered fish and chip special, including our vegan banana blosson! (£6.95)
