Module Outline
This is a final year module, which will require you to address an historical problem in depth. You will set your own research project and its questions, resolve those questions by means of a module involving the design of a research outline and carry out your own research based on primary historical sources. You will also develop the skills necessary to write an extended piece of written work based on this (usually archival) research.
Module learning outcomes
Define a research question and agenda.
Undertake archive or text based research.
Construct complex written arguments of greater length than hitherto on the basis of historical research using primary sources.
