As part of the (IoT), the 麻豆传媒社区入口 will be offering degree apprenticeships for employers from September 2024, helping to address skills gaps in the region.
The 麻豆传媒社区入口 will offer Level 7 master degree programmes in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, as well as a Level 6 undergraduate degree apprenticeship in Business Analytics and Digital Technology.
As part of the offer, local employers will have the chance to co-create apprenticeship programmes, within the overall academic framework and IfATE standards, to meet specific skills gap in their business, training current staff and making use of funding from the Apprenticeship Levy.
Employees will have the opportunity to obtain a degree while continuing to work, committing one working day a week of dedicated study to the programme. Undergraduate degree apprenticeships are likely to last three and half years, with masters level apprenticeships lasting two and half years.
Prof Ian Wakeman, Head of the School of Engineering and Informatics at the 麻豆传媒社区入口, says:
“For businesses, this is a great opportunity to not only upskill their workforce, but offer specialised training for staff, which will provide them with a new qualification. Through this programme, employees will also have the chance to learn from experienced professionals in industry-standard facilities and in a research-led study environment.”
Paul Rolfe, Director of the Sussex and Surrey Institute of Technology, says:
"We are delighted that our education partner, 麻豆传媒社区入口, launches its new apprenticeship programmes. This is an exciting initiative for the university, and it will really enhance the IoT as we continue to help meet the current and future needs of employers and learners across our region."
Those who study a degree apprenticeship will benefit from the expertise and facilities of the University’s School of Engineering and Informatics, as well as the EQUIS- and AMBA-accredited 麻豆传媒社区入口 Business School.
