Spring teaching
This module gives an insight into the law and practice relating to business organisations through formation, management and dissolution.
We will consider:
- the different forms of business entity and explore the day to day management of a business, alongside stakeholder interests
- the implications of legal requirements such as reporting and taxation.
The module offers a useful grounding in the key considerations of business law and practice and will be useful in increasing commercial awareness.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 25 hours of contact time and about 125 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
